John havlicek's introduction
John havlicek, born on April 8th, 1940, Martins Ferry, Ohio, is a former American professional basketball player, full-back and forward. John havlicek is a descendant of Czechoslovakian immigrants. He played for Boston Celtics in 1962- 1978 and won eight NBA championships. 1980 john havlicek was named as one of the best stars in the NBA since its establishment 35 years ago. 1984, john havlicek was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame; 1996, havlicek was selected as one of the top 50 NBA superstars. Among the top 50 superstars in history selected by SLAM magazine in 2009, havlicek ranked 17.
