At the end of 1961, he returned to the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and worked as a librarian in the library. During the Cultural Revolution, he entered the May 7th Cadre School and worked in agricultural farms and as a welder in factories. Taking advantage of the advantageous conditions of the library, he taught himself English, and in 1972 taught English to young and middle-aged teachers in the college. At the end of 1973, he was transferred to the Nanjing Maritime School to take care of his wife's relationship. He first worked in infrastructure construction. In 1978, he became an English teacher and the leader of the foreign language teaching and research group, and participated in the Esperanto correspondence course at Kunming University of Social Sciences. Actively prepared for the Provincial and Municipal Foreign Language Teaching and Research Association of Technical Secondary Schools, and served as the chairman of the Provincial and Municipal Foreign Language Teaching and Research Association of Technical Secondary Schools and the Chairman of the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Association of the Municipal Technical Secondary School Association. He often communicated with colleagues from other places.
