I. Dependents coming to Hong Kong

If Hong Kong non-permanent residents come to settle in Hong Kong through the Talents Scheme, Professionals Scheme, Entrepreneur Migration, Studying in Hong Kong, Investment Migration and the Second Generation Entry Scheme for Hong Kong Permanent Residents in China, the following dependants apply to come to Hong Kong:

Hong Kong permanent residents or Hong Kong residents who are not subject to the limit of stay may apply to come to Hong Kong if they meet certain conditions:

Note: This application is not applicable to nationals of Afghanistan and North Korea.

2. One-way Permit to Hong Kong

According to the "Interim Measures for the Administration of China Citizens Traveling to or from Hong Kong or Macao for Private Purposes", mainland residents who meet one of the following conditions may apply for a one-way permit to Hong Kong and Macao:

1, one of the spouses has settled in Hong Kong;

2. Parents who have settled in Hong Kong are old and frail and must be taken care of by mainland children;

3. The helpless children in the Mainland (including those adopted by Hong Kong people in the Mainland) must rely on their parents in Hong Kong;

4. Old people who have no support in the Mainland have to rely on their children in Hong Kong;

5. Children born to Hong Kong permanent residents in the Mainland;

6, there are other special circumstances must go to Hong Kong to settle down.

The application for settlement in Hong Kong shall be accepted by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ. Mainland citizens who have been approved to settle in Hong Kong shall be issued with travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ. Before going to Hong Kong, the holder should cancel his account at the local police station and go to Hong Kong within the specified time.

There is a quota for one-way permit immigrants. Eligible people need to calculate scores according to their respective categories. After the score reaches the standard, the entry-exit department at the place where the household registration is located will examine and approve the application according to the queuing situation.
