However, with the support of lawyers, Zain sued his parents because they could not provide him with protection and safety. Zain's parents are poor and can't afford to raise their children, which means Zain can't get an ID card, so Zain is a black household who is not qualified for a passport, can't go to school, and even can't get help in the hospital in an emergency.

Zain is the eldest son of this family. In order to support himself and his brothers and sisters, he was forced to deliver goods for the local grocery store. The grocer's boss has an evil interest in Zane's sister. When Zane's parents sold his sister to a grocer, Zane was very sad and ran to a seaside town. There, Zain met Rakhil, an Ethiopian immigrant. She is a kind person and her life is a little better than Zain's. Rachiele concealed that she had a one-year-old son Jonas. In order to avoid the supervision of employers and government departments, she always puts her children in the shopping cart at work. She lives in a shed made of plastic and gravel.

How to Be Home has been produced for more than five years. The first three years were actually investigated for three years, and the shooting time was as long as half a year. Finally, more than 520 hours of material were filmed, and the final film took 2 hours.
