I have read two novels, Murder at Midnight (USA) by Beverly Barton, Going Home Before Dark (UK) and several short stories from Japan, Russia, India, Pakistan and South Korea.

One issue of Yilin introduced several novels by a China woman writer, which caught my attention. She, Lisa See, a blonde of one-eighth China descent, lives in LA, 1955 was born in Paris, and her parents divorced when she was very young. Since childhood, Lisa See likes to play with her grandparents in antique shops in Chinatown. She said, "My American side has opened a window for Chinese speakers to learn about the culture of China and China. And my side in China taught me that I can write the real China culture without making it look strange and unfamiliar. "

I have had contact and interaction with several overseas Chinese. Living in a foreign country, almost everyone can write rich biographies, and many outstanding talents are slowly submerged in the vast sea of people. The influence of China and the acceptance of China culture outside the region were almost unimaginable ten years ago.

I met a lovely and beautiful ABC girl recently. Although she is only 16 years old, her Chinese is quite standard. She said to me very seriously: "My husband must be from China in the future!" I smiled and asked, "Why? Can't a white husband? " She said firmly, "Well, no ... I want to make my blood very pure and be a real China person." After listening to her words, I couldn't help laughing happily. She traveled to many places in Europe and North China in her early years, but she was right. Her thoughts represent her recognition and love for American culture.

For overseas Chinese living all over the world, bloodline is not the most important thing. Pay attention to that part of your bloodline, find fun from it and make life better. This is the purpose of our life.
