Folklore about Zhu Yuanzhang

Each of the founding emperors was not a simple figure, and so was Zhu Yuanzhang. Zhu Yuanzhang is the only humble emperor in Chinese history and the most legendary figure. He is a hero who emerges from the cracks of history. Here are some interesting facts about his childhood:

Worship the Emperor

When Zhu Yuanzhang was a child, his nickname was Zhu Hongwu. Although his family life is not rich, it is better than other families. So Zhu Yuanzhang went to a private school for three years. In school, Zhu Yuanzhang is very smart, but very playful, but stubborn; sometimes pranks are inevitable. Once, the teacher had something to do and asked his nephew to take care of him. How could Zhu Yuanzhang let such a good opportunity go to waste? Everyone began to pretend to read and began to reply loudly, but soon everyone became speechless. After only a moment of silence, someone started to boo. At this time, a person shouted: "Shall we play a new trick?" When everyone saw it was Zhu Yuanzhang, some agreed, some frowned, but they did not dare to object. Zhu said: We put a stool on the table, one by one, one by one, and one by one under the table. This is called worshiping the emperor. Some people were so frightened that they stuck out their tongues, but everyone knew that Zhu was not someone to be trifled with; moreover, no one dared to say that. When others go up, other students will worship them as if nothing is wrong. As long as he bows, others will come down. Only Zhu Yuanzhang went up, and no one could worship him. Could it be that he, Zhu Yuanzhang, was destined to be emperor in the future?

The Sleeping Emperor

I don’t know whether Zhu Yuanzhang dropped out of school because he was too naughty or for some other reason. After returning home, he herded cattle for the rich man. One morning, as usual, he went to herd cattle under an oilcloth umbrella. But it was nice and sunny. He scattered the red oxen on the mountain, but found a flat stone slab to sleep on. Strangely, there was a large cloud in the sky where he slept, covering him all the time. Not a single ant crawled onto the stone slabs. He held the umbrella horizontally as a pillow, stretched his hands to both sides, and spread his legs lazily, like a god-sent person. When he was sleeping soundly, several people passed by, but he was unaware of them. Some passers-by stopped for a moment, some left in a hurry, and some whispered——. Isn’t this a sacred statement? Jumong seemed to have fallen asleep in the commotion, but unfortunately, he rolled over, from lying on his back to lying on his side, with his feet together and his toes hooked together. At first glance, it looks like the character "子". These passers-by were shocked and secretly exclaimed: Will this cowherd kid not dare to say anything in the future? This is the legendary sleeping child.

Niu Tudiao

In order to avenge the vicious and stingy rich man, Zhu Yuanzhang, Xu Da, Tang He and several children killed the rich man's calf, roasted it in the wild, and then The horns were stuck in the front mountain, the tail was stuck in the back mountain, the bones and hides were buried, and then the rich man called the rich man and said that the cow had gone into the mountains. Zhu stretched the ox tail and hid in the cave with Tang, studying. Although this trick eventually led to him being severely beaten and his father ordered to pay compensation, the rich man had to respect Zhu Yuanzhang from then on.

Become a monk

When Zhu Yuanzhang was seventeen years old, his hometown, like many other places, was infected with the plague. Many people died, including Zhu Yuanzhang's parents and brothers. Since Zhu Yuanzhang had no money to bury his relatives, who could help in this situation? Because his father Zhu Shizhen once raised a lot of money for a temple, Zhu Yuanzhang begged some poor brothers, such as Xu Da, Tang He and others, to transport the bodies of their parents and eldest brother Lin to the temple in heavy rain. Here, I hope that the undead souls of the Zhu family, who have no tiles and no land, can float in the temple instead of being ghosts. Perhaps his filial piety moved the owner, or the owner wanted to thank Zhu for his father's kindness. Not only did he promise to leave three corpses behind, he also vowed to find the money and bury them in a field. Later, the owner really did it and got three thin coffins through alms, so that his relatives could rest in peace.

As the plague continued to spread, the rule of Yuanren America became more cruel, and many people rebelled one after another. Poor Zhu's friends urged him to raise the flag, but after a while "there was silence," he said. We face disaster and it is best for us to go our separate ways. When his friend asked him where he was, he said: ordained and became a monk. Those people thought that was really weird, but he didn't. He is not a fan of Huangjue Temple, but he believes that being a monk will at least provide him with a living. This is the most reliable idea at present. So he really became a monk at Huangjue Temple.

Separation Technology

In this temple, Zhu Yuanzhang can behave unnaturally and often make some pranks, but with the protection of the master, others can do nothing. Here he read a lot of books. His advantage is that he likes reading books very much. He also talked with the host at the time about many strategies for governing the country, and introduced him to two geniuses, Liu Ji and Song Lian. These laid a solid foundation for him to conquer and rule the world; of course, this is inseparable from his own ambition.

Zhu Yuanzhang stayed here for several years, but left for some unknown reason. He came to a small temple called Nanga Temple. There are only a few monks in the temple. At the turn of spring and summer of the next year, when the busy farming season arrived, some farmers came to the temple and asked a monk to help them plant rice seedlings. Other monks were too lazy to think about it, but Zhu Yiyi promised four or five families. Temple Yuan thought: What will I do tomorrow? Because as the saying goes, transplanting rice takes time, which means that others are counting on it. The next day, Zhang San saw Zhu planting rice seedlings.

When he ran there again, Zhu was planting rice; when he went to Wang's house, when he returned home, Zhu was still there. He felt very strange: Does Zhu have the power to separate? Finally, I returned to the temple and looked for Zhu Zhan's room. Isn't Zhu sleeping on the bed? At this time, the people in the temple were really dumbfounded.

Moving the Bodhisattva

After this incident, the temple has been concerned that Zhu is not an ordinary person, but I don’t know what he is. Who is it, a god or a ghost? Otherwise, how could he...

One day, the temple owner had to leave for something and asked Zhu to guard the door and clean the temple. As soon as Zhu Gang left the temple, other people should not find reasons to escape. When they were all gone, Zhu felt more at ease, so he closed the temple and had a good sleep. When I woke up, it was past noon. He stretched, got up, ate something delicious, and then went outside to bask in the sun. Look, it's getting late. She figured the master would be back soon, and she had to clean the temple, so she went in. He saw the Bodhisattva standing or sitting in the corner. How could he sweep it? As soon as I rolled my eyes, my thoughts came to me, I clasped my hands together and said: Great God, little God, please come out of the mountain gate. Go outside and spend some time in the yard. - Offended. The strange thing is that all the clay bodhisattvas went out quietly. Wouldn't it be much easier to sweep the floor this way? At this time, the monk came back and wondered: How can the sweeping monk move all the Bodhisattvas out? It is troublesome and disrespectful. Let us see what he did at the entrance of the mountain. After cleaning, Zhu went outside and was about to invite these Bodhisattvas in. Unexpectedly, the monks had already returned. He smiled and said, Master, you are back. It was so bad that they were in the way, so the people in the temple wanted to see what Zhu was doing, so he stopped making any sound and just raised his hands to watch. Zhu clasped his hands together and said respectfully to these clay Bodhisattvas: "Great gods and small gods, please enter the mountain gate and take your places." These clay Bodhisattvas went in again in the blink of an eye. I followed Zhu into the temple and saw that the Bodhisattva had really returned to his original position, without any change at all, and was much cleaner than before; but I was unhappy and thought: This person can not stay too long! We have to find a reason to get rid of it.

If it wanted to arrest people in the temple, it would not be difficult to find a reason; but Zhu Yuanzhang thought that there was no one left here, but he had his own place to stay.

Eat Stone

Zhu Yuanzhang, a wealthy Beijing girl named Hu Yajie, slowly came to a place called Stone Mountain and built a simple shed to live in because some temples made him tired. . After a few days, he felt that the ground would be unsafe, so he built another shed between the trunks of several large trees that were close to each other and made a ladder with a rope.

One day, The temple priest who had driven him away suddenly came to see him. Zhu Yuanzhang regretted that he had nothing to entertain his master, so he said: Master has come all the way here, and my disciple has nothing to honor you. Just eat a carrot. Temple wish thought: Where? what is going on? Zhu picked up a few fist-sized stones nearby, put them in a broken pot with a missing edge, and scooped out two spoonfuls of mountain spring water. He was too lazy to pick up firewood, so he stuffed his foot under the pot and blew on it. It's burning. Miao Zhu thought to himself, no matter how you play tricks today, how can this stone be cooked? Zhu ignored him and murmured while cooking: Boil turnips with stones. In less than half an hour, Zhu Yuanzhang put out the fire, filled a bowl for his master first, and told him, master, I am ashamed, I have nothing to honor you. Just eat some radishes, but don't say anything while you're eating them! Then I served a bowl myself, and stammered a glance without looking at my temples, as if it was not a stone at all but a radish. The temple priest looked at him and saw that he had already eaten one. He just took a bite. It's really chewy and tastes like radish. While eating, the temple master suddenly said, because he had been thinking about Zhu just now, I clearly saw you cooking the stones. Why did he hear a bang before he finished speaking? The temple owner broke his teeth twice. Zhu said: I said, don’t talk when Tang is eating. It's great that you don't mind. Don't listen
