Chongqing Island

Zhongba Island is a small island in the middle of the Yangtze River in Banan District. It is 14 to 16 meters long from east to west and about 6 meters wide from north to south, facing Mudong Town across the river. Less than 4 kilometers away from the North Railway Station, start from the railway station, drive along the Inner Ring Expressway and Shiyu Expressway all the way to the east, reach Mudong Town in about one hour, and then take the ferry to the island to play.

Among many cultural and historical sites, the Wanshou Palace is the best preserved one, which was built in Tianshun period of Ming Dynasty and is one of the oldest known wooden buildings in the Three Gorges reservoir area of the Yangtze River. The halls, palaces and temples of the whole building are all arranged on a line, which keeps the architectural style in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties. According to research, Wanshou Palace was the place where immigrants from Sichuan and Jiangxi in those years were cohesive, that is, the earliest guild hall.
