What is OHIP in Ontario, Canada?

Eligibility

First of all, you can see it on the official website of OHIP (http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/publications/ohip/ ohip_eligibility.aspx), there are many people who are eligible to apply for OHIP. In addition to Canadian citizens and PRs, we can also see that one of them reads like this

"You are a foreign worker who holds a valid work permit or

other document issued byCitizenship and Immigration Canada

(CIC)permitting you to work in Canada, and you also have a formal

agreement in place to work full- time for an employer situated in Ontario

which sets out theemployer's name, your occupation, and confirmationthat

you will be working for no less than six consecutive months"

" You are a migrant worker and have a qualified work permit issued by CIC, allowing you to work in Canada, and you have a formal agreement with an employer in Ontario, Canada. The agreement details the name of your employer, your job and You will work in this position continuously for no less than 6 months.

What does this mean?! This means that as long as you have a PostGraduate Work Permit + Offer Letter, you can apply for OHIP

Is there such a thing as pie in the sky?! Main business I took a look again: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/ohip/ohipfaq_mn.aspx

When I came to this page, I saw the third article It reads like this:

Openwork permit holders (including those in CIC's Post-GraduationWork

PermitProgram) may be eligible for Ontario health insurance

coverageprovided they are employed full -time for an employer in Ontario

for a minimum of six months, have a valid work permit during this time,

and they:

·maintain their primaryplace of residence in Ontario; and are

·physically present inOntario for at least 153 days in any12-month period; and are

·physically present inOntario for 153 of the first 183 daysimmediately after establishment residency in the province.

Further information on the changes concerning Temporary ForeignWorkers

can be found ona fact sheet entitled “Temporary Foreign Workers”.

It can be seen that, take PGW Graduates only need to get a job in Ontario and be able to prove that you can work for 6 months and meet the following conditions:

·The main place of residence is in Ontario (Homepage Jun: It’s simple); and:< /p>

·I have been physically present in Ontario for 153 days in any 12-month period (Home Page: This is no problem as long as you go to school); and

·183 days after landing in Ontario I have been in Ontario for 153 days.

Then it’s over.

Several CareerPilot tutors have successfully applied, so hurry up and check out the next step:

Our tutor has been As I said, this employer proved not to be an offerletter. Service

People in Ontario are very rigid. Students must have the StartDate, Salary,

Position clearly written on the certificate provided by their employer. If it is a contract position,

the enddate, etc. should also be stated. A tutor who did not want to be named was sent back several times because his employer proved that he did not meet the standards. He finally succeeded. I hope everyone is well prepared and will not make the same mistake as him.

Application

With the above documents, you only need to go to Service Ontario near your home to apply for OHIP when there are few people. The staff will conduct a preliminary review based on your documents. If you pass, you will get a temporary OHIP
