Heichi, also known as Heigangkou Reservoir (grit chamber), is located at 15km northwest of Kaifeng City, Henan Province, and belongs to Shuidao Township, Jinming District. Close to the Yellow River levee, it is narrow in the east and wide in the west, with wharf village in the east and north and south levees in the west. It is about 5 kilometers long, 500- 1000 meters wide and 3-8 meters deep. There is an intermittent long dike in Hougang village, and there is a lot of mixed water in the west. Blackpool has a history of hundreds of years. Since ancient times, this place is low-lying. At the end of Ming Dynasty, Li Zicheng, the conqueror, opened the seal for a long time. I don't know who opened the Yellow River estuary. The once prosperous Kaifeng city is gone, and 300,000 people are buried underwater. Since then, there has been a dark pool in this place. The original lake was relatively large, and the north-south levee was just a levee in the middle of the lake. In the west, Xiaozhuang village is also the scope of Blackpool. In the 1970s, the west was silted up and turned into a field. Before liberation, the water inside was not very deep, and it was covered with reeds and cattails. There are herring, yellow croaker and Jiangxi fish. After the founding of New China, it became the water source of Kaifeng, and now Heichi has become an important water source protection area in Kaifeng.
