Resource advantages of Songshan town

Songshan Town has a land area of 7 1 1.3 square kilometers and a grassland area of 932,400 mu, belonging to an arid and semi-arid climate zone. The whole town has 12 villagers' committees and 40 villagers' groups, with a total population of 30 17 households and13,346 people, and there are 4 pure animal husbandry villages. It is a town where Tibetan, Han, Tu, Mongolian, Hui and other ethnic groups live together, and it is semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral. Songshan Town has a long history and culture. The ancient city of Songshan, built in the Ming Dynasty, has dense forests, rich grasslands and flocks of cattle and sheep. At that time, it was one of the important pastures for supplying military horses and forage, and its strategic position was outstanding. This is the ancient "Songshan Ancient Road" and a military fortress, which has become a battleground for military strategists. Due to climate and human factors, the environment deteriorated and grasslands degenerated, and the ancient city became increasingly depressed. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), successive governments worked in the vicinity of Songshan Ancient City. The site of Songshan ancient city is now listed as a county-level protected cultural relic and well preserved. Other cultural relics include ancient vertebrate fossils, Huajian Yuer Mountain, Hongshibaozi in Digouliang area, Tibetan Baozi site and Dalong Temple.
