Good news. . . I am from Sanmenxia and found this problem. As far as I know, Sanmenxia dialect is the Guo dialect of Laoshan, while Shanxi Pinglu dialect and Shaanxi dialect belong to the northwest dialect (similar to Lingbao and Tongguan dialects).

So geographically speaking, Sanmenxia belongs to the north of the Yellow River in Pinglu County (Yuncheng) south of the Yellow River.

Then Sanmenxia Yellow River Bridge was completed in 1996. In the past, people used to cross the river by ferry. Compared with the previous Yellow River, this is very dangerous. Few people say that Sanmenxia and Yuncheng are one region.

However, since the bridge from Sanmenxia to Pinglu was opened to traffic, the traffic is convenient now, and it takes about 15 minutes to drive from our home to Pinglu, so it can be geographically mixed but deeply rooted in old traditions and bloodlines.

I think Sanmenxia is Sanmenxia Yuncheng, but I am half a fellow villager (my husband is from Pinglu, hehe)
