A Tale of Two Cities Who's Laurie?

Laurie in A Tale of Two Cities refers to Charles Darnay, the main character in the novel. He was a French aristocrat with a well-known family background, but he disapproved of the family's behavior and chose to give up his aristocratic status and immigrate to Britain to start a new life. In England, he fell in love with and married Lucy Manette, but he was still shrouded in the shadow of the French Revolution. He was finally accused of being a spy and faced the fate of being guillotined.
