What are the procedures for China citizens to set up factories in Myanmar?

At present, to work in Myanmar, you must enter Myanmar with a valid passport and business visa. To apply for a business visa, you need an invitation letter issued by relevant departments or enterprises of the Myanmar government. China citizens can apply for business visas at the Myanmar Embassy in China and the Myanmar Consulate General in Kunming. Myanmar business visa is valid for 70 days and can be extended. Overstay 1 day will be fined $3, and over 90 days will be fined $5.

People who have lived in Myanmar for more than 90 consecutive days must apply to the Immigration Bureau for a foreigner registration certificate. Foreigners who have not applied for temporary residence permits will not be extended by the Myanmar government.

For those who come to Myanmar for business or work, the Myanmar government has not clearly stipulated whether it is necessary to apply for a work permit. However, in order to protect the legitimate rights and personal safety of our citizens, it is suggested that my personnel coming to Myanmar strictly abide by the provisions of the validity period of residence, and those who overstay should return to China as soon as possible to apply for a new visa to enter Myanmar.
