Introduction of EA Certification for Studying in Australia

With the signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, Australian visas have been continuously liberalized, and studying in Australia has entered a blowout era. I would like to remind many students who want to study for a master's degree in engineering in Australia that when choosing institutions, they must choose institutions with EA certification. Unlike the proliferation of CPA and ACS certification, there are not many schools with EA certification in Australia. Of the eight universities, only the University of Western Australia, the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales and the University of Melbourne have them. Non-top eight students can consider Curtin University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Some students may ask, what is EA certification?

First of all, if Australia wants to immigrate, the most convenient and quick way is to get a degree by studying abroad, then get the technical evaluation of the major and degree studied by the association, and finally get the vocational technical nomination by virtue of other scoring items such as age and work experience. Besides accounting and IT, engineering is the most popular immigration major, and engineering has been on the SOL list for a long time. However, projects in Australia must be certified by EA Engineers Australia, just as they must be certified by ACS and pass the vocational evaluation. At present, most EA-certified courses are undergraduate courses in Australian universities, and some schools will offer master's courses.

There are three points for attention in EA evaluation:

1. As long as China's undergraduate degree is an engineering degree (note that it is not even necessary to have an engineering degree, engineering is enough), he can pass the EA examination after a decent (engineering writing).

2.EA certification does not require work experience.

3. Again, if your undergraduate course is not engineering (whether in China or Australia) and your master's degree is not EA certified, then you can't pass EA certification. But if you are an engineering undergraduate, you can pass the examination even if you are not an EA-certified master of engineering!

Generally speaking, EA certification is not as difficult as expected. For children's shoes whose master's degree is not EA certification but whose undergraduate course is engineering, you only need to do two things: IELTS and (engineering writing).
