Residence and work visa

It enables the owner (/kloc-over 0/6 years old) to temporarily live in Spain (over 90 days) and engage in profitable labor or professional activities on behalf of others. Employers must obtain permission in advance from the authorization/sub-authorization of the competent government or, where appropriate, authorization for residence and work from the competent autonomous institutions.

This process is relatively easy. When you find a job in Spain, your employer must ask for approval (work permit) so that you can work in Spain. If the position is listed and published within a certain period of time, and there are no other candidates in Spanish territory or the European Union, the position will be awarded. After you get a work permit, it will be added with your residence permit, and then you can apply for a visa.

Your company must apply for a work permit from the provincial office of the Ministry of Labor on your behalf.

During the processing, you will receive a copy of the application with the office seal and document number. You can send it to the Spanish embassy or consulate as part of your application for a work and residence visa. The embassy will inform the regional labor bureau that you have received your application, and the labor bureau will begin to process your application.

This process may take several months. After the Labor Bureau approves the work permit, the Spanish Embassy and Consulate will provide you with a work and residence visa.

The work permit is valid for one year and can be renewed as long as you still meet the requirements.

Permission granted to a specific department, so as long as you work in the same field, you can generally jump ship. You can apply for permanent residence after five years. /zd/lx
