Can I apply for a work visa after graduating from a Canadian university?

After graduation, students who graduate from Canadian public schools or specially approved private universities can get a post-graduation work visa (or "internship work visa") for up to three years.

The length of time a graduate can get a work visa is related to the length of time he studied in Canada:

You cannot apply for an internship visa for less than 8 months;

A work visa of more than 8 months and less than 2 years will be the same as studying abroad.

Two years, more than three years.

The work visa must be submitted within 90 days after graduation and within the validity period of the student visa. If the student visa expires, you must apply for restoration within 90 days after the student visa expires.

You don't need to provide an employer's invitation letter to apply for an internship visa, so there is no question of whether your major is related to your job.
