Which is closer to the standard of Putonghua, Beijing dialect or Chengde dialect?
I come from Chengde. I stayed in Beijing for a year, and I also studied Chinese in university. The language structure and pronunciation of Beijing and Chengde are basically the same, both of which are very standard, but there are many pronunciations in Beijing, and individual pronunciations in Chengde are influenced by Northeast dialect. Generally speaking, I think Chengde is closer to the standard, because Beijing dialect is too strong, and many words are deliberately nonstandard, such as "call me". Typical Beijing dialect, Chengde has no so-called Chengde dialect.
