Are there many China people in Cambodia?

China people, to be exact, there are about one million Cambodian overseas Chinese.

At present, the population of Cambodia is about 15 million, but there are about 1 million Chinese and overseas Chinese, accounting for about 8% of the population, mainly in the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the liberation war, mainly Chaoshan people, Hainanese and Fujian people, among whom Chaoshan people are the most.

Although there are not many overseas Chinese in Cambodia today, accounting for 8% of Cambodia's population, they account for 8% of Cambodia's economy, and 8% of the politicians in the Cabinet of the current Cambodian government are of Chinese descent. There are 72 public Chinese schools in Cambodia run by Chinese clubs, and there are countless private Chinese schools (including foreigners, Singaporeans, Americans, Chinese, Cambodians and China people).
