Development of Xinjiang New District

Intensify the development of Xinjiang New Area, speed up the construction of Hangzhou-Nanchang Railway, coordinate urban and rural development, promote urbanization, and strive to build Xinjiang New Area into a demonstration area for the implementation of Scientific Outlook on Development. The municipal party committee and the municipal government decided to establish Xinjiang New Area Management Committee, which covers Xiabu Township in Yuehu District and some village groups in Zhiguang Town and Hongtang Town of guixi city, with a geographical area of 38.42 square kilometers and a total population of more than 22,. The Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Xinjiang New Area are agencies of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, enjoying the same power as the district-level party committees and governments, and implementing unified leadership and management over party building, regional economy, social development, urban construction and management, and social affairs within their respective jurisdictions. The Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Xinjiang New Area have five departments and offices: Party and Government Office, Land Development Department, Planning and Construction Department, Planning and Finance Department and Social Affairs Department.
