How do junior college students study in Australia?
1, special promotion
Students who choose this route, the main purpose of studying abroad is to get a diploma recognized all over the world with the least time and money. However, not all universities and majors in Australia can offer such courses. Even schools that can offer such courses are mostly secondary or above universities in Australia. But for our former junior college students in China, the threshold is undoubtedly very high, and we need to be cautious when applying.
Applicable people: domestic colleges are regular three-year junior colleges, and the schools they attend can have the right to award undergraduate degrees.
Ps: The language foundation is very good.
Advantages: Because the educational system is about 2-3 years, the educational system is short and the cost is relatively low. The final master's degree is certified by the Ministry of Education of China.
Disadvantages: There are some limitations, such as major choice, school choice, geographical location choice and so on. In addition, students' academic level and English level are required, because foreign universities are wide and strict, and there will be a certain elimination rate every year. If students with poor conditions apply, they will have no advantage in admission, and even if they apply, they will have some difficulties in reading.
2. Undergraduate courses
This option is usually chosen for two reasons:
1. The students are very satisfied with their major in China. Studying abroad is only to improve my skills on this basis, so that I can get a bachelor's degree after studying in Australia 1-3 years.
Second, go to Australia to change majors. However, the original credits can be transferred less, and it is very likely that the evaluation of the school requires students to study for 2-3 years before they can get a bachelor's degree.
Applicable people: ordinary or non-correspondence college students in China, with a certain language foundation.
Advantages: If students have excellent academic performance, they can sprint to apply for the top eight universities in Australia, and there is no restriction on the choice of schools. For students who change majors, they can transfer some credits more or less according to the situation of changing majors and the specific university they apply for. Students have less academic pressure and more solid professional knowledge.
Disadvantages: Relatively speaking, the study time is relatively long. If the school you apply for ranks high and completely changes majors, it may cost you more time and money from freshman year.
3、TAFE
TAFE is one of the most distinctive courses in Australia. The course time is short (generally two years), practical, easy to learn, easy to find employment after graduation, and low tuition. After graduation, you can continue to transfer to undergraduate courses, or you can choose to immigrate after employment. Therefore, for college students whose ultimate goal is to emigrate, this scheme is the most suitable.
Applicable crowd: China college students who are ordinary or non-correspondence students, whose main purpose of studying abroad is to emigrate and pursue short, flat and fast study. The ultimate goal of education is to master a professional technology. Students' own language foundation is relatively weak.
Advantages: the course is highly technical, artificial, easy to find jobs and immigrants, and has low requirements for admission language. The general academic system is 1-2 years, and the cost is lower than that of universities. You can also change your major
Disadvantages: After graduation, I can only get a college degree, and the courses that I can immigrate are relatively few and targeted, and the space for further study is relatively limited.
