There are great differences between north and south cultures in Anhui. Why not call it bulk province?

Bengbu and Huainan, two cities where the Huaihe River passes through the city, have different accents and should be the closest to Mandarin, but Huainan is somewhat different because there are more immigrants. There is almost no difference in accent between central and eastern Huainan and Bengbu, Huaiyuan and other places, but the counties north of Huaihe River (Panji and Fengtai) are obviously different. These are personal feelings.

There are different sounds in ten miles, and this sentence is most appropriate in Huizhou area. The dialects of three districts and four counties in Huangshan City can't communicate with each other, and the dialects of towns and villages in each county are very different. If everyone chats together, they may not understand their local dialect. Therefore, the usual communication is Mandarin mixed with local intonation. There are many people who are very talented in language and can speak several dialects at the same time!

For example, northern Anhui dialect can be divided into Central Plains Mandarin and Jianghuai Mandarin, while southern Anhui dialect includes Hui dialect, Wu dialect, Chu dialect and Gan dialect. It is highly similar to Nanjing dialect along the Yangtze River, and it is quite complicated in western Anhui influenced by Hubei dialect. Sichuan speaks Sichuan dialect, Shanxi speaks Shanxi dialect, Henan speaks Henan dialect and Guangdong speaks Cantonese. Anhui is a small province, but there is no representative dialect in the province.
