Will all the irrigation areas of Huaihong New River be demolished?

Villages in Huaihong Xinhe Irrigation District of Bengbu City will be demolished in the controlled area. The project of Huaihong Xinhe Irrigation District in Anhui Province is determined and implemented according to the requirements of the national modern irrigation development plan. According to the State Council's Regulations on Land Acquisition Compensation and Resettlement for Large and Medium-sized Water Conservancy and Hydropower Projects (Order No.679 of the State Council), in order to ensure the smooth progress of the project construction, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people in the project area and expand information; Huaihong New River is a strategic backbone project in the middle reaches of Huaihe River. It belongs to Hongze Lake-Tonghe River system in Huaihe River Basin. The drainage area is 12000 km2, and the total length of major rivers is 12 1 km, including 95 km in Anhui and 26 km in Jiangsu. It flows through Huaiyuan, Guzhen, Wuhe in Anhui and Sihong County in Jiangsu. Huaihong New River "relays" the flood of Huaihe River in Huaiyuan County of  to Hongze Lake (hence the name Huaihong New River). According to the plan, when there is a once-in-a-century flood in Huaihe River, the maximum flow of Huaihong New River is 2000 cubic meters per second, and the sewage outlet of Tonghe River system east of Huaihe River will be expanded to 12000 square kilometers.
