In 1986, it was officially recognized by the United Nations Environment Program as the first ecological agriculture village in China. In the same year, it was named one of the "Global Environmental 500" by the United Nations Environment Program. In 1989, it was rated as an advanced unit of world environmental protection by the United Nations Environment Program. In 2000, it was rated as an organic agriculture pilot base by the State Environmental Protection Administration. In 2003, it was rated as one of the first batch of municipal folk tourism villages. In the same year, Liuminying established a folk tourism office to standardize the management of tourism reception services. It formulated a folk tourism reception system, a tour guide reception service system and a tourism safety prevention system. It implemented unified management and decentralized management of folk custom households. Conduct regular inspections and provide free services to folk households.
