Origin is not residence. Household registration is the place of birth, and the place of birth is the place of household registration at the time of college entrance examination.

Student source is the source of candidates, which is fixed and different from household registration. For example, undergraduate students are basically the location of household registration. For example, some people failed to get into an ideal university in the first year of Jiangsu college entrance examination, so in the second year, "college entrance examination immigrants" were admitted to universities in other provinces, so their native place was no longer Jiangsu. For another example, Zhang San's hukou is Gulou District, Nanjing, and his high school is Xuanwu District, Nanjing, so his birthplace is Xuanwu District.

The domicile refers to the domicile of the household registration book in China, generally referring to the domicile of the parents when they were born, usually the domicile of the household registration book.

1, undergraduate (junior college) student background

The origin of undergraduate (junior college students) refers to the location of permanent residence at the time of college entrance examination, which is generally the province or city (autonomous region) that participated in the college entrance examination. For candidates who have taken the college entrance examination for many times with different household registration, the place where they took the college entrance examination for the last time is their place of origin.

2. Source of graduate students.

(1) Postgraduates studying for master's or doctoral degrees, who have not stopped their studies before entering the university, have been studying continuously since the university, and their birthplace is the place where the college entrance examination is registered;

(2) Those who have worked before entering school and have settled in their work units shall, in principle, take their place of origin as their place of origin.

Article 3 Public security organs at all levels shall be responsible for household registration. Citizens who move from rural areas to cities must apply to the permanent residence registration authority for moving out with the employment certificate of the urban labor department, the school admission certificate, or the approval certificate of the urban household registration authority.

Citizens moving to border areas must be approved by the public security organs of the counties, cities and municipal districts where they live.
