Traditional customs of Five Blessingg village

Five Blessingg is a multi-dialect village committee. There are local dialect (Heshan dialect), Hakka dialect and Sichuan dialect (immigrants). Festivals are held according to traditional customs. Local people still have the old habit of burning incense and worshiping God, while Qunfeng Village has a Catholic church, so some villagers believe in Catholicism. Immigrant villages do as the Romans do.

According to the lunar calendar, local festivals generally include: New Year's Eve on the 30th (or 29th), putting up couplets by every household (except those with white affairs in the local area), including jiaozi (including jiaozi) and having a family reunion dinner. From the first day to the second day, the members of the lion dance in each village go door to door to pay New Year greetings and pick green flowers. The scene is very lively. Followed by the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, Quanjiaozi on February 1st, Tomb-Sweeping Day, May Festival, July 14th, August 2nd Mid-Autumn Festival, August 15th Mid-Autumn Festival and September 9th Double Ninth Festival. It is easier for Hakkas to spend their holidays with immigrants.
