Should schools apply for the UK by mail, Zhihu?

Each school has different requirements on whether to send the original materials when submitting the application for studying in the UK.

The materials to be prepared are as follows:

An English resume

English resume must include the following contents:

The applicant's name, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail and home address, school background and information about social activities/work;

If the personal information is incomplete, the school will not accept the application;

Personal statement in English

English personal statements should be written according to the requirements of various universities for PS. The school receives so many students' application materials every day. PS should not be too long, just write your own highlights.

Diploma and degree certificate or proof of study (including original Chinese and English)

The original refers to the Chinese copy and English translation of the certificate stamped with the red seal of the school;

If the applicant cannot return to school for a long time after graduation, notarized materials can be used instead;

If the applicant has overseas exchange experience, it is best to provide relevant study certificates and transcripts/letters of recommendation;

Transcript (including original Chinese and English)

The original refers to the Chinese copy and English translation of the certificate stamped with the red seal of the school;

If the applicant cannot return to school for a long time after graduation, notarized materials can be used instead;

Note: Birmingham University does not accept notarized materials!

Two letters of recommendation

Applicants who already have a job need to provide two letters of recommendation from school teachers and one letter of recommendation from company leaders or colleagues;

The recommendation letter requirements are as follows:

A. The recommendation letter should be printed on the letterhead of the school or company and signed by the recommender (pinyin in Chinese and English);

B provide the contact information of the recommender (including mailing address and postal code, e-mail, telephone number and title);

C. The recommendation letter should be placed in the envelope of the school or company, and the seal of the envelope should also be signed by the recommender;

D. There is a recommendation time on the recommendation letter, which is required by individual schools (such as Bristol University), otherwise the student's application may not be accepted;

Note: To study in the UK, you need to provide 2 letters of recommendation to apply for undergraduate course;

You need to provide 1 letter of recommendation to apply for matriculation.

Copy of IELTS or TOEFL transcript

Applicants without IELTS scores can apply to schools without language scores first;

Note: Translation majors at the University of Bath and the University of Leeds must have IELTS scores when submitting their applications and must have met the admission requirements.

Student passport

If it is not available at the time of application, it can be supplemented later;

Chinese copy and English translation of scholarship certificate

If not, you don't have to provide it.
