The War Background of Tongzhou Uprising

1937, after the Japanese launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, there was an exchange of fire with China troops stationed in North China. On July 29, the Tongzhou security team stationed in Tongzhou (now Tongzhou District) was driven away by the Japanese army and determined to change its route. In order to show their determination, they began to attack Japanese troops and expatriates living in Tongzhou at that time. During the uprising, 235 Japanese nationals were successfully killed. However, the Tongzhou security team engaged in the uprising anyway did not get the cooperation of the Song Department of the 29 th Army in North China, and the uprising failed to achieve its original purpose.
