In view of the current development of novel coronavirus, the Canadian National Visa Application Center will be closed until March 2020 1. However, the date of the center's resumption of operation does not rule out further adjustment.

The closure of all visa centers in Chinese mainland has really affected many Canadian students, permanent residents, relatives, citizens and many people who want to go to Canada.

Temporary residents who cannot leave Canada (student visa, work visa, tourist visa)

First of all, I want to talk about international students, tourists from China and foreign workers. For these China citizens who are currently in Canada, those China people who need to leave the country because their legal status is about to expire, but cannot return to Chinese mainland because of their feelings in COVID-19, they can apply for extending their stay in Canada. Even those whose legal status in Canada has expired can restore their status or apply for a temporary residence permit.

Temporary visa or permanent resident applicants outside Canada

For visa applicants who are in an emergency or need to go to Canada immediately, they can send an email to the Canadian Visa Office in China. E-mail: Beijing-immigration @ international.gc.ca.

For those applicants who have submitted tourist visas, work permits, study permits or permanent residence applications, but cannot complete the next step on time due to the reasons of COVID-19, China, they will not be refused visas because they have not submitted some materials on time!

Including:

Submit passport or certificate (if there is no proof of criminal record)

Applicants who cannot complete the above requirements due to the epidemic situation will be allowed to extend the application time. If conditions permit, the applicant should prepare and submit the documents as soon as possible to avoid further delay.

People who wish to withdraw their application for temporary residence due to travel restrictions must fill in the network online. If their application for temporary residence has not been processed, they will receive a refund within 24 hours after submitting the form.

Permanent resident visa holder or permanent resident

If you are a permanent residence visa holder, you can apply for the extension of the permanent residence confirmation document (COPR) under the following circumstances.

Has been approved to immigrate to Canada and obtained COPR.

The visa will expire in the next 90 days.

Unable to travel to Canada

Applicants need to submit a form online, clearly stating the reasons why they cannot travel to Canada within the validity period of the visa. IRCC will evaluate these applications on a case-by-case basis.

If you originally planned to take the oath of naturalization in the near future, but you can't go to Canada smoothly because of COVID-19, don't worry! Everyone will have the opportunity to reschedule the date of taking the oath of naturalization without delaying the application for naturalization.

Precautions for Canadian visa materials

After the preliminary examination, if there is any doubt about the authenticity of the materials, the general embassy will investigate or verify them. If the embassy finds that they are fake, it will not directly refuse the visa. PFL will inform the applicant of any questions about the contents of the visa materials and give the applicant 30 days to give a reasonable explanation. Once this happens and there are false records, even if the applicant applies again two years later, the hope of obtaining a visa is slim;

2. I think it may not be fake; However, it is still not reasonable or true enough. Refusal is an ordinary refusal, and then you can apply again normally. The application result still depends on the normal objective study plan and family assets;

3. After the embassy reviewed the materials, the investigation misjudged the false materials. In fact, all the materials are true and will be signed. This rarely happens.
