How did the Indian caste system come about?

The caste system is a complex hierarchical system that has been formed and established in ancient India. In China's ancient literature, all Indian hierarchical systems were called caste system, which Xuanzang translated into surname system, while in the west, this system was called karst system.

The germination of caste system can be traced back to the early Vedas, and it was not formally established until the late Vedas. At first, the Aryans, the new immigrants, called themselves "Aryan Varna" and called the local residents "Dasavarna". Aryan means "noble and rich", while "Dasa" means people, and Varna means "color and quality".

With the internal differentiation of these early immigrants, the difference between civilians and nobles appeared in the early Vedic period. The common people are Vedas, which means "clan members", while the nobles are Romania, which means "clan leaders". Clan nobles engaged in sacrificial rites are called "Brahmins". Gradually, Aryans and local residents were divided into two classes, and Aryans were divided into nobles and civilians. This is the embryonic form of the earliest caste system "Varna system" in India.

The third Varna is the Vedas, mainly engaged in agriculture, commerce and animal husbandry. Belongs to the civilian class, has no political privileges, but has the obligation to pay taxes, and supports Brahmins and Khrushchev. They all belong to the "regenerative family" like the upper class. The fourth Varna is sudra. Although they came from Dasavarna, most of them were Aryans and lost their clan membership in the later period. They can't attend religious ceremonies and have no right. They may even become slaves or Dasa, in short, a low-status and miserable class.

After the Varna system was formed, all classes were determined according to their families, and all classes engaged in prescribed occupations from generation to generation, and marriage between Varna was also prohibited, so people at the bottom of society could not rise. The reason for the formation of the system is that the emerging aristocrats hope to establish some mechanism to ensure their own interests and exploitation status. At the same time, it is also a manifestation of the transition from early tribes to countries.
