Xu Shi, who is still alive?

Xu's three brothers, Xu Guanwen and Samuel Hui, are still alive.

Xu Shi's brother, Wu Wen Yingjie, was originally four brothers and sisters. Except the second one, Xu Guanwu, who mainly works behind the scenes (once served as the executive director of Modern Bodyguard), the other three are all popular and famous comedians. Xu Guanwen was the most influential comedian in Hong Kong before the appearance of Stephen Chow, Samuel Hui was the Hong Kong movie star with the largest number of annual box office champion films (eight films), and Xu Guanying was the Xiangjiang clown with full personality and numerous wonderful performances.

In the 1970s, when Hong Kong's economy took off, Hong Kong people began to establish a unique local pop culture. The Hsu brothers were the important founders of Hong Kong pop culture. Samuel Hui's Cantonese slang songs started the current trend in canto pop. Xu Shi Brothers Film Company has created a series of ghost horse comedies, such as Ghost Horse Double Star and Eight and a Half Jin, which not only created box office myths repeatedly, but also successfully revived the lingering Cantonese films, laying a solid foundation for it to crush Mandarin films and dominate the Hong Kong film industry.

The Xu Shisan brothers once set up a film company. Because of their long-term cooperation in filming, they are usually regarded as a whole. But in fact, their 30-year career in Yinhai has also experienced separation, convergence and divergence, and whether they set foot in movies at the beginning, or their own development, or even why they faded out of the film industry, they all interpreted the life trajectory of achieving the same goal by different routes.
