Introduction to Taohongpo Town

Taohongpo Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Jiaokou County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province, China, with an area of ??approximately 229.7 square kilometers and a population of approximately 10,000. There are 22 village committees in the jurisdiction. It is located in the northeastern part of Jiaokou County, in the south-central section of Luliang Mountains, about 40 kilometers away from the county seat. National Highway 312 passes by. Connecting Shuitou Town and Shuangchi Town. Due to historical reasons, the town government is located in Damaijiao Village. The current town center is in Taohongpo, less than 10 kilometers away from the center of Shuangchi Town. It is close to Xiaoyi City, about 42.9 kilometers away. It thrives because of its location on a major transportation thoroughfare. The daily floating population reached 30,000 in 2012, and it has developed rapidly since 2010.
