How do immigrants avoid some problems in the college entrance examination?

Song, a freshman in Tsinghua, Qinghai Province, was suspected of "emigrating from the college entrance examination" and was revoked by the local education department, and asked the Ministry of Education and Tsinghua University to cancel his student status. A few days ago, the Ministry of Education said that if candidates were found to be unqualified for admission, they would be dealt with according to the corresponding provisions of the Regulations on the Administration of Students in Colleges and Universities (Beijing Morning Post, March 3 1).

Even if Tsinghua freshmen are really not qualified for admission, they should not be punished for canceling their school status. Because this is not his personal fault, but the problem of the college entrance examination system.

After the resumption of the college entrance examination in China, although the college entrance examination system has undergone various reforms, it is still based on provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, and the allocation of university enrollment places is based on provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. However, the number of university enrollment places has formed a distorted distribution pattern, and the scores of college entrance examination are "high in the middle and low at both ends": Beijing and Shanghai, which have the most developed education, have more places and low test scores, while Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Hainan, which have underdeveloped education, also have low scores. Compared with other places in China, these two places are obviously "unbalanced" in enrollment indicators and admission scores. These places are interrelated with other places, forming a national big market, and the market will inevitably move from imbalance to balance, which is determined by the market. Under the influence of the market movement, college entrance examination immigrants came into being.

Under the condition of market economy, people always seek advantages and avoid disadvantages. Once it is found that people with different household registration have different admission rights, people will naturally try their best to emigrate to some places with low scores. This is a natural impulse, which is really understandable. Because college entrance examination immigration is fundamentally caused by the deviation of the government's public policy, "college entrance examination immigration" is that people protest injustice by creating unfairness. We can't blindly blame "college entrance examination immigrants", nor can we blindly blame "college entrance examination immigrants".

As far as the allocation of educational resources is concerned, special groups in some special areas need to be tilted, cared for and compensated. In order to make up for some existing inequalities, it is understandable that we are inclined to some underdeveloped areas. However, it would be inconceivable to compensate the cities that already have an absolute advantage in educational resources.

For a vast country, it may be appropriate for the government to allocate and intervene educational resources. However, this distribution and intervention must be based on fairness. Tsinghua students can't bear the fault of the system. This incident also reminds us that the allocation of college entrance examination resources must run in the sun and implement the principles of openness, justice and fairness. Only in this way can we put an end to the phenomenon of "college entrance examination immigration".
