The mystery of the ages, is the grandson from Qi or Wu?

The mystery of the ages, is the grandson from Qi or Wu? In recent years, more and more people have studied the Art of War, but most of them still stay in the degree of searching for chapters and sentences, and have not grasped Sun Tzu's own origin and his tactical view. So to put it bluntly, it's just Xu Shen's explanation of the text, which is beside the point.

About the family background of Sun Tzu, the common expression is: Sun Tzu is a child of Qi State, which is a bit weird. This obviously unfounded view is widely used, which shows that scholars of Sun Tzu's Art of War have always been so unsmooth.

The origin of Sun Tzu's family: According to Wu Yue Chun Qiu, "Sun Tzu is famous for his martial arts, and Wu people also make good use of the art of war. The monarch is hidden, and no one knows what he can do. " According to "Historical Records", "The grandson is also a man." "Chen Wuyu died and gave birth to Wu Zixu and Xunzi."

According to the "Tang Prime Minister's Genealogy Table", it is recorded: "The son has no book, and he has made meritorious deeds in cutting down the house. The Duke of Jing gave him his surname Sun, and the grain was collected in Le 'an. Later generations fled to Wu because of chaos, and Sun Wu was the general. "However, Zuo Zhuan did not describe Sun Wu. So, is the grandson from Qi or Wu? Is it a descendant of Chen Wuyu? This has become an unsolved mystery.

According to historical records, there is no Chen Shu in Chen Wuyu. According to the viewpoint of the lineage table of the Prime Minister in Tang Dynasty, we can look for Sun Shu's account in Zuo Zhuan in the 19th year of Lu (the 25th year is 523 A.D.): Sun Shu conquered Ju and won Ji Zhi. If this Sun Bin is, then he made a great contribution in this battle and was later named Sun.

But the problem is that Sun Wu was strongly recommended to He Lv, the king of Wu, in the 30th year of Lu (AD 5 12). During these eleven years, there was no turmoil in Qi, and there would be no standard of "rushing to Wu because of chaos". Moreover, at this time, the Li family was in power in Qi State, which had expanded the family, recruited talents, won people's hearts, and actively prepared to seize the throne in advance. Under such circumstances, such excellent talents as Sun Wu have the opportunity to make great achievements in Qi. If you don't stay in Qi, but avoid the extended family, the probability of going south to Wu Can to live in seclusion is almost zero.

After Wu Dezhi, Sun Wu gave up his official position and did not return to Qi, but stayed in Wu. This basically shows that he has no historical relationship with the Li family in Qi State.

A higher problem is that in the eleventh year (AD 484), Qi went to war with the allied forces of Wu and Lu. "Zuo Zhuan" has this description: Chen Xunzi said that his brother wrote: "If I die, I will gain power." Chen Shu said, "This trip is also good. I only smell drums, but I don't smell gold. " Lu Wu was defeated by Qi Baishi. Those who obtained the credentials, Gong Sunxia, Qiuming Lv, Chen Shu and Dong Guoshu, made 800 leather carts and gave them three thousand yuan first.

There is no doubt that Chen Shu here is the child of Chen Wuyu who was captured alive by Wu Jun. In other words, twenty-eight years after Sun Wu became a general of Wu, Chen Shu became a prisoner of Wu. Isn't it funny if Sun Wu is a descendant of Chen Shu?

In addition to this obvious inaccuracy, there is another problem, that is, during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, there was no habit of the monarch giving his surname. Given the surname, it originated in the early Han Dynasty and flourished in the Tang Dynasty. Therefore, the lineage of the prime minister in Tang Dynasty subjectively thinks that Sun Shu is the given surname. In fact, Sun's surnames in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period all came from "Sun", and the Li family was not Sun, so it was impossible to create a Sun's surname.

Therefore, it is obvious that Chen Shu is not Sun Bin, Chen Shu has not been given a surname, and Chen Shu will not be Sun Wu's father or grandfather. Sun Wu is not a descendant of Chen Wuyu.

Sun Wu is probably a descendant of his father who defended the country for the following reasons: First, in the twenty-sixth year of Duke Xiang of Lu (AD 547), a civil war broke out in Wei, and his father's extended family was expelled from Wei. At that time, one of his children, Sun Xiang, was killed and another son, Sun Jia, had just left Qi, so Sun Jia may have stayed in Qi.

Later, with the help of the State of Jin, Sun Lin's father occupied the State of Wei. But three years later, Ji Zha passed by Tiki and warned Sun Lin's father: "Old Master Q is here, and the nest of the secluded swallow is in the curtain", saying that Sun Lin's father could be wiped out by the state at any time and place. Sun Lin's father was so anxious that he didn't listen to music all his life. Weiguo is adjacent to Qi, so it is very likely that Sun Lin's father will save for a rainy day and cast his descendants in Qi. The above Sun Shu is probably the son and nephew of Sun Lin's father.

Secondly, at that time, the military level of Jin was much higher than that of other countries, and Qi was also much behind the times. Although Hu was a patriot, he had closer relations with the State of Jin and frequent contacts. Therefore, the Hu family should have some contact with the ancient books of the State of Jin, and it is likely to have a scientific study of the excellent military thoughts of the State of Jin. Sun Wu's military thought was obviously influenced and hurt by the State of Jin, so he or his extended family should have a close relationship with the State of Jin.

Third, defending our country is delicate and sandwiched between powerful countries. Therefore, it is not easy for most outstanding talents to stay in the development trend of defending the country. Wu Qi and Shang Yang after Sun Wu were patriots, but they all came from overseas.

Generally speaking, Sun Wu is probably the child of Sun Jia or Sun Shu. Although he is a patriot, he can grow and develop in Qi, and he belongs to Qi people with patriotic background. Because of my family background, I have a better grasp of the culture, art and military thought of Jin State. Due to the lack of environment in Qi, the Hu family was already a scholar in Sun Wu's generation. There is no future in Qi, so we went south to Wu to seize the opportunity. Therefore, Sun Wu should be a patriotic Qi person, a descendant of his father, who lived in the State of Wu in the Qing Dynasty.

Where did Sun Tzu's military thoughts come from? Those who have studied Zuo Zhuan scientifically will find that the key concept of Sun Tzu's Art of War comes from the Battle of Chengpu, which was fought between the State of Jin and the State of Chu, and finally the State of Jin won. At that time, there was no Zuo Zhuan, and there were no historical events or national defense works describing the war. There are probably only two ways to describe this war: the first is the historical documents of the State of Jin, and the second is the historical documents of some big families in the State of Jin. From this perspective, the possibility that the grandson should be Sun Lin and his son has been further confirmed.

Naturally, there is another possibility, that is, the grandson is a descendant of Xun's family in the state of Jin, and Xun was homophonic with Sun at that time, so Xunzi was called. If the grandson is a descendant of Xun's family in Jin State, then the grandson and Wuqi have become the same clan, because Wuqi is a descendant of Xun's family in Jin State. Xun's family is a clan in the state of Jin. After years of wars, from the family background, it has the basics of producing military strategists.
