The custom of Hui ring

Hui people pay the same attention to wearing rings as Muslims and Han people in China, such as Turkish, Pakistani, Egyptian and other Arab countries in the Middle East: wearing the ring finger means married, wearing the middle finger means no object, and wearing the little finger means unmarried object. Besides, Hui women also like to wear bracelets and earrings. Legend has it that a long time ago, a Hui wife supported an old woman. Because the family was too poor to eat enough, she went to a businessman's house to do odd jobs and cook for others. Every time after the meeting, the daughter-in-law is reluctant to wash her hands and secretly comes back to wash her mother-in-law so that her mother-in-law can barely eat. After a while, suddenly one day there was thunder and lightning in the sky and dark clouds rolled. My mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are very scared. Daughter-in-law couldn't help regretting eating other people's food, so she reached out and closed her eyes, hoping to let the lightning strike pass. After a loud thunder, the daughter-in-law opened her eyes and found that her hands were not damaged at all, and both of them were wearing gold bracelets. Since then, the Hui daughter-in-law wearing a bracelet has become a symbol of filial piety to the elderly. Some Hui women who do not have gold bracelets can also use other materials instead, such as silver bracelets and jade bracelets.
