Is Tumen Repatriation Center the same as Yanbian Border Management Detachment?

It's different. Tumen Repatriation Center is directly managed by the Ministry of Public Security of China, and its main responsibility is to receive and repatriate illegal immigrants and safeguard national border security. The center is responsible for receiving illegal immigrants repatriated from outside China, conducting identity confirmation and border security inspection, and then repatriating them according to relevant regulations. Yanbian Border Management Detachment is a part of the border defense agencies, which is mainly responsible for maintaining border security and border management, including border patrol, controlling border personnel and vehicles, and cracking down on illegal cross-border activities. The detachment is also responsible for handling border disputes and coordinating border accidents.
