How many nature reserves are there in China?

China Nature Reserve is divided into national nature reserves and local nature reserves at all levels, which refers to the nature reserves in People's Republic of China (PRC). The national nature reserves were established with the approval of the State Council.

There are 474 national nature reserves in China. The total number of nature reserves at all levels exceeds 1.2 million [1].
