Does Confucius speak Mandarin or Cantonese?

Confucius (55 1- 479) was a thinker, politician, educator and founder of Confucianism in the late Spring and Autumn Period. Because my parents prayed for the birth of a child on Niqiu Mountain, they named it Qiuzi. Lu (now southeast of Qufu, Shandong Province) was born. He edited poetry books, defined rites and music, prefaced Zhouyi and wrote Chunqiu. Confucius' thoughts and theories have far-reaching influence on later generations.

Cantonese is not a native product of ancient Guangdong, but a product of the combination of Central Plains language and local language. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, a large number of Central Plains immigrants came to Lingnan along the traffic line of Xiaoshui-Heshui ancient road, settled and multiplied in the middle reaches of Xijiang River, and preserved the ancient Chinese of Central Plains from which they came.

Therefore, according to historical research, Confucius spoke Mandarin.
