It is a national medium-sized reservoir with a designed water storage of 17.8 million m3, a year-round water storage of 12.6 million m3, and a rain accumulation area of ??18.43 square kilometers, with a water surface area of ??3,348 acres, a designed irrigation area of ??28,000 acres, an effective irrigation area of ??23,800 acres, and a guaranteed irrigation area of ??16,000 acres. It is mainly responsible for agricultural irrigation and flood control tasks in Daguan, Baisha, Taipingchang, and Tuxi. The flood control benefit is 80 million yuan. The reservoir is located in the heart of the ecological agriculture park in northern Nanchuan. The reservoir is 800m above sea level. It is 59 kilometers (highway) from the main city of Chongqing and 28 kilometers (highway) from Nanchuan City. It can be reached directly via the Daguan off-ramp of the Yuxiang Expressway.
