How long will it take to hear from American immigrant F2B?

F2b immigrants (adult unmarried children of American residents) are currently scheduled for March 2009 1. If they apply now, it is hard to say how long it will take. Now only those who applied before March 1 2009 are arranged.

F2B visa application process and material preparation:

1. Pay the application fee first, and then NVC will send back the case number and barcode.

2. Determine the address and recipient of the information, (give it to the US or Guangzhou Consulate)

3. If it is confirmed to be handled in the United States, send the materials to NVC and fill in I-864 economic guarantee. All materials sent to NVC must be bar-coded on the home page.

And write the number you received in the upper right corner of each page.

NVC will inform you that after receiving the visa, you need to pay a visa fee of $404.

5. Submit DS-230 form, P3 supplementary materials and 2X2 photos.

6. Birth certificate+unmarried+innocent+notarized copy of original passport.

7. After the 7.NVC review is completed, you will be informed that the immigration case has been transferred to the US Consulate General in Guangzhou, China (called "Faguang"), waiting for P4 (interview appointment).

8. After confirming the interview date, the consulate will send the applicant an appointment package (also called package No.4) explaining how to prepare the interview materials. Applicants need to go to the designated hospital (PDF) for physical examination before the interview.
