What's the difference between Australia 482 visa and Australia 457 visa?
Company guarantee qualification
At present, companies that can obtain the employer's guarantee qualification in Australia are divided into overseas registered companies, overseas companies incorporated in Australia and local companies in Australia. The biggest difference between the first two is whether the company is registered in Australia (ARBN or ABN). If the company has been registered in Australia and can provide business records, then the company registered in Australia is a qualified nominating employer and can make 457 visas for its employees.
In the past, the Australian 457 visa had relevant requirements for the operating time of the employer, and the company established within one year was eligible for the guarantee of 18 months; For companies that have been established for more than one year, the Immigration Bureau will give them a guarantee qualification of up to five years. After the implementation of the new 482(TSS) visa policy, the new TSS policy will not require the company's operating hours. Regardless of whether the company has been in operation for one year or not, if approved, it will obtain five-year guarantee qualification.
Then, for companies that have been in business for less than one year, if they apply before the introduction of the New Deal, the Immigration Bureau will review them according to the old policy, but the approval time is five years, not 18 months under the old policy.
training cost
Of course, the company that has obtained the guarantee qualification is registered in Australia, so it must, like other Australian companies, commit by law to spend 1% or 2% of the company's total salary in each fiscal year to train local workers, that is, Australian citizens and permanent residents.
In the Australian 482(TSS) visa, the requirements of training benchmark A and training benchmark B will be cancelled and changed to SAF Levy (Australian Skills Fund).
