Where is the source of Wujiang River?

Wujiang River has two sources: Sancha River in the south and Liuchong River in the north. Traditionally, Sancha River in the south is the main stream of Wujiang River.

Nanyuan:

Sancha River originates from the eastern foot of Wumeng Mountain in the western plateau of Guizhou, and is located in Shigang Cave, Yingdong Village, Yancang Town, Weining County, with an altitude of 2,260 meters. Heyuan gushed out a clear spring from the stone cylinder hole, forming a stream.

Shigang Cave is about15km away from Weining County. The cave is irregular in shape and covers an area of about three or four square meters. The pool is as deep as 100 meter, and the spring water is clear and transparent. A small bowl-sized spring water gurgled out of the stone jar hole and flowed for 500 meters. I didn't reach the cobblestone riverbed, and I didn't fall into the water. There is a thousand-year-old spring water in the cave, and the gushing spring water forms a stream, which brings together all tributaries to form the Wujiang River.

Beiyuan:

The northern source of Wujiang River is located in Fuchu Township, Hezhang County.

Wujiang river basin:

Wujiang River spans China, northern Guizhou and southeastern Chongqing. Liuchong River in the north comes out from Hezhang County in the north, and Sancha River in the south comes out from Weining Yi, Hui and Miao Autonomous County in the east. After the two sources meet, they are called Yachi River. Below the Wujiang River mouth in Xifeng County is the northeast current. Passing through Sinan County and Yanhe County.

Chongqing passes through Wanmu Township and Gongtan Ancient Town of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, and turns to Pengshui County and Wulong County to Fuling District to enter the Yangtze River, and its tributaries flow through Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hubei Province.

Total length 10 18km (including 874km in Guizhou). There are many tributaries, which are distributed in a pinnate water system. The main tributaries are Liuchong River, maotiaohe River, Qingshui River, Zhuozhang River, Hongdu River, Furong River, Yujiang River and Apeng River. Total basin area 1 15747 square kilometers (including 66807 square kilometers in Guizhou).

Heyuan to Wujiangdu is the upstream, with a length of 448 kilometers and a drop of 1.636 meters, with an average gradient of 3.65‰. The valley is deeply cut and the slope is steep and fast. Wujiangdu to Yanhe County in Guizhou is the middle reaches, with a total length of 346 kilometers and a drop of 336 meters, with an average gradient of 0.97‰.

Yanhe county to Fuling estuary is the downstream, with a length of 243 kilometers, a drop of 1.52 meters, and an average gradient of 0.62‰. The Goupi Beach in the middle reaches of yuqing county has widened to more than 200 meters since it came out of the canyon. The water potential is gentle, but there are many reefs and the beach is dangerous. The mountains in the basin are undulating, limestone strata are widely distributed, and there are many underground caves.

The total annual runoff of the basin is 50.3 billion cubic meters. The theoretical reserve of hydraulic resources is10.4259 million kilowatts, and 266 hydraulic resources can be developed with an installed capacity of 84,605,438+0,000 kilowatts, which is a treasure house of hydropower. Navigation is possible below yuqing county.

Wujiang River, called "Jiang Yan" or "Qianjiang" in ancient times, originated from Luxiang Mountain in Weining County, Guizhou Province, and flowed through central Guizhou from west to northeast. After crossing the Tujia Autonomous County along the river, it enters the area under the jurisdiction of Chongqing, turns north, passes through Youyang County, Pengshui County and Wulong County of Chongqing, and flows into the Yangtze River in Fuling District, becoming a main tributary of the south bank of the Yangtze River.

Wujiang River is a typical mountain river with a total length of 1.037 km (including 874 km in Guizhou). The natural drop of the main stream is 21.24m, with an average gradient of 2.05‰. The terrain of Wujiang River Basin inclines from southwest to northeast, with a large height difference between east and west, with a basin area of 87,900 square kilometers and a Guizhou area of 67,500 square kilometers.

From Heyuan to Wujiangdu, it is designated as the upper reaches of Wujiang River, with a length of 448 kilometers. This section of the river has deep valleys, steep longitudinal slopes and numerous undercurrents, and the flood level and low water level change greatly.

Wujiang River crossing to Yanhe County is the middle reaches of Wujiang River, with a total length of 346 kilometers. The river runs through deep valleys, with many reefs and dense beaches. The famous Tiandong and Ziyi Santan in Tianshengqiao Town of Xuantang Town are called "four natural disasters", all of which are in this section. The Fuling estuary from Yanhe County to Chongqing is the lower reaches of Wujiang River, with a total length of 243 kilometers. The width of the river valley in this section varies, with more fields on both sides and relatively concentrated farmland and residential areas.

The main tributaries of Wujiang River are Liuchong River, maotiaohe River, Xiangjiang River, Qingshui River, Hongdu River, Furong River, Zhuozhang River, Yujiang River and Daxi River. And there are hundreds of streams, ditches, streams and rivers flowing into it, showing a feathered water system. The basin belongs to subtropical monsoon climate zone, with mild climate and abundant rainfall, with an annual average temperature of 13 ~ 18℃.

Wujiang River Basin spans Guizhou, Yunnan, Chongqing and Hubei, covering 56 counties and cities, with a total population of16.66 million, accounting for more than 90% of the agricultural population. There are 65,438+00 people living in Han, Miao, Buyi, Tujia, Zhuang, Dong, Yi, Yao and Gelao.

Wujiang River, with its unique water resources, is one of the top ten hydropower bases in China. The theoretical reserve of hydraulic resources in the whole basin is 6.5438+0.042 million kilowatts, and 266 hydropower stations can be built, with an installed capacity of 8.46 million kilowatts, of which the main stream is 7.56 million kilowatts, ranking third among the main tributaries of the Yangtze River.

The hydropower development conditions of Wujiang River are superior to many other rivers in China. The planned large and medium-sized hydropower station has the characteristics of moderate geographical location, close to the city, close to the load area, small loss of submerged area, less resettlement and multi-objective development.

According to the development plan of the main stream of Wujiang River, nine cascade hydropower stations can be built, including Hongjiadu, Dongfeng, Suofengying, Wujiangdu, Goupitan, Lin Si, Shatuo, Pengshui and Daxikou, with a total installed capacity of more than 8 million kilowatts and an annual power generation of about 40 billion kWh.
