In what year did Europeans first immigrate to the ballas Mountains in eastern North America?

Immigration won't last for a year or two, so I think hunting should start around the middle of18th century at the earliest, and a large number of people did not hunt until the middle and late of18th century. By the time of 1880, people had realized the need for artificial reproduction, but it didn't succeed, so not many people were killed before that.
