Gansu people are descendants of Xiongnu.

Gansu people are not descendants of Xiongnu, but Gansu is one of the birthplaces of Xiongnu and other ethnic minorities.

During the Han Dynasty, the activities of the ancient Xiongnu were between Lintao, Gansu and the northeast of Qinghai. At present, Gansu people are mainly descendants of ancient Han, Xiongnu, Turkic and other ethnic minorities, as well as mixed-race descendants of Han and Tu, and some immigrants from other provinces.

Therefore, although Gansu is one of the birthplaces of Huns and other ethnic minorities, modern Gansu people are not descendants of Huns, but descendants of multi-ethnic hybrids.
