? After the demolition and merger of the Rural Work Bureau, although I no longer manage it, I still can't give up the Xihe Reservoir. From time to time, I will take my family for a walk by the water in Yanguantun, Miao Village and Luo Xiao Village, feel the feeling of hitting the shore, breathe the humid air and relieve all kinds of troubles and pressures in my work and life. This is really a good place to relax.

After checking the information and asking the local people, I realized that Xihe Reservoir was named after Xihe River and was built in the northwest of Qujing City. The reservoir was built in 1955, and was reinforced in 2002, with a total storage capacity of 36 million cubic meters, annual water supply of 37.95 million cubic meters, rainy area of 150 square kilometers and elevation of 1905 meters. At that time, there was an entire brigade (now the village Committee) for centralized relocation. According to statistics, the number of people supported in the late resettlement period is 4500. With the expansion of Qujing city, Xihe Reservoir, which has been reinforced by danger removal, has changed from agricultural irrigation to the combination of drinking and agricultural irrigation, and has become one of the important drinking water sources in Qujing city in recent years.

Xihe Reservoir is located at the junction of Qilin, Zhanyi and Malong provinces, where there are many mountains and deep valleys, and the dam is blocked to store water, forming a dendritic reservoir. The reservoir area is surrounded by majestic mountains, deep valleys and dense forests, and a clear water is gathered into a lake because of the dam fence. The natural scenery is very beautiful.

? Unfortunately, due to the sharp increase in water consumption and the rampant in the show, the rainfall is obviously insufficient and the water storage is seriously insufficient. Not to mention the reinforced storage capacity of 36 million square meters, even the storage capacity of 29.8 million square meters at the beginning of reservoir construction is difficult to achieve. Last year, the water storage was only 30% of the normal year, and a large area of grassland was exposed in the reservoir area. In June 2020, urban water supply was in a serious emergency.

? Xihe Reservoir has been flooded. It's tired, it's sick, and it's not very sick. From the media reports, we already know the tragic situation of Xihe. When we really take a walk on the ground, it is even more shocking. The water level dropped seriously, and the original lake was exposed in a large area, turning into a cattle farm and a horse farm, and some of it was opened up as a vegetable field by surrounding farmers. Beverage bottles and pesticide bags can be seen everywhere in the reservoir area, and abandoned fishing nets and boats stand on the shore.

? Xihe Reservoir, as an important water source in Qujing, lacks coordination and protection, and the agriculture in the reservoir area is suspected of over-exploitation. Facility agriculture around the reservoir area is blooming everywhere, and fish ponds and duck farms are overwhelming. The farmhouse is still under construction, and there is no interception around the reservoir area. Farmers' production and living water is directly discharged into the reservoir without treatment. In the long run, the situation is worrying.
