Is Shenzhen big?

Shenzhen, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, is also called Pengcheng. It is a sub-provincial city, a city under separate state planning and a megacity in Guangdong Province. It is also a China Special Economic Zone, a national economic center city and an international city approved by the State Council. There are 9 administrative districts in the city, 1 new district, with a total area of 1997.47 square kilometers and a built-up area of 927.96 square kilometers.

Mandarin is the mainstream language in Shenzhen. Most public service organizations, professionals and business people can provide services in English, and most teenagers can speak English. New immigrants from Shenzhen come from all over the country, and they have formed a "multilingual" language environment with the original residents (former Baoan County residents).
