The historical predecessor of garden town

In the early post-war period, Taichung County was located in Zhongzhou, Taiwan Province (now Zhangtou), and Yuanlin Town was changed from Yuanlin Street in Yuan Zhong County to Yuanlin Town in Taichung County. At this time, the residence of Taichung County Government (1945- 1950) was located in Yuanlin Town, and it was changed to Yuanlin Town, Changhua County because of local autonomy in 1950. After the war, the forest development was slow, and the population could not break through the threshold of county-administered cities (1.5 million). Local gentry and political circles have repeatedly reflected that they were merged into neighboring towns and transformed into counties and cities.
