Where is the hometown of Confucius and Mencius?

Confucius' hometown is Qufu, Shandong. Mencius' hometown is Zoucheng, Jining, Shandong Province, which is about 30 kilometers apart.

Confucius (5565438 BC +0 September 28th-479 BC April 65438 +065438 +0 BC) was born in Lu (now Qufu, Shandong) at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, and his ancestral home was in (now Xiayi, Henan). According to historical records,

Mencius (about 372 BC-289 BC), surnamed Ji, was born in Zou State (now Zoucheng, Jining, Shandong) during the Warring States Period. Mencius was born about 100 years before the death of Confucius (479 BC), and his activity time was about 372 BC to 289 BC.

Confucius' ancestor was a nobleman in Yi Li (now Xiayi, Henan Province) in Song Dynasty, and the founding monarch of Shang Dynasty, Shang Tang. After the rebellion of the three kingdoms in the early Zhou Dynasty, in order to appease the nobles and future generations of the Shang Dynasty, the Duke of Zhou appointed his younger brother Wei to establish the Song Kingdom in Shangqiu and worship Yin Shang as emperor.
