In the first year of Yongzheng (A.D. 1723), Zhangzhou immigrants arrived in the chicken coop (now Keelung) from Bali, hence the name "the ground is like a chicken coop". During the Guangxu period, Zhangzhou people accounted for more than half of the population here, and built a Temple-based Palace here to worship the "Zhang Kai Holy King".
