From March 20 18, if your nominated occupation is not on the MLTSSL occupation list, you will not be eligible to apply for 186 visa or 187 visa.

From March 20 18, 186 and 187 visa applicants must be under 45 years old. At present, 457 visa holders apply for temporary residence to permanent residence visas, and the age limit is relatively wide, limited to under 50 years old.

Minimum wage requirement

From March 20 18, applicants with visas 186 and 187 must at least meet the income threshold of temporary skilled immigrants (TSMIT, currently 53,900 Australian dollars). At present, the Immigration Bureau has no minimum wage requirement for visa applicants of 186 and 187.
