I recently watched the movie "Super Titan", which tells the story of the year 2048. Due to population growth, lack of resources and frequent wars, the earth is becoming increasingly unsuitable for human habitation. A company launches a plan to transform a group of Earthlings and send them to other planets. Scientists have discovered that Titan, Saturn's second largest moon, is a good choice. There is water, thin oxygen and abundant nitrogen on Titan. Nitrogen can generate oxygen for humans to breathe (the theory in the movie), and nitrogen can also be used as nutrients for plant growth. If people on Earth want to live on Titan, they must overcome the environment of low temperature, low concentration of oxygen, and high concentration of nitrogen, so they selected a group of volunteers and transformed them. These volunteers have all had the experience of living in extreme environments. Scientists inject a organism into volunteers to mutate them, thereby enhancing their ability to adapt to extreme environments. During this transformation process, the volunteers' bodies continued to change. At first, they were able to stay underwater for a long time, then their bodies were able to adapt to low temperatures, then they were able to absorb low oxygen and high nitrogen and run, and finally they were able to see clearly in a dark environment. object. But as the transformation progressed, more and more volunteers died one after another. In the end, only two volunteers survived, and they were called Titans. But these two Titans no longer look like humans, a bit like lizards. There are many details in the movie, so I won’t describe them in detail here. Below I will mainly express some of my thoughts on the process of transforming volunteers.

A real transformation is a new transformation. The volunteers in the movie are injected with a creature that gives them some abilities that people on earth do not have. They have these abilities because they have mutated. Although they finally have special abilities, are they still people on Earth? If a product wants to truly change, it must not be an upgraded version of its original self. All aspects of it must be changed, otherwise there is no way to achieve it.

Everyone is the best version of themselves. As people have developed to what they are today, many organs such as vision, hearing, and brain may have an "optimal" configuration. If the vision and hearing are too weak, life will be inconvenient; if the vision and hearing are too strong, it will bring a burden. Some people will challenge their own limits, such as long-distance running beyond their own abilities, high-intensity climbing, rapid weight loss, etc. I think these are not good. Of course, we should correct our bad living habits in the past. In fact, the various functions of our human body may not have changed much in tens of thousands of years. Now they have been transformed by nature into their best appearance, so we should not bother to change its original appearance.

If you want to get something, you must first give up. Naturally, we are making choices, not additions. We cannot want this and that. Although the Titans who were finally transformed in the movie have some superpowers that people on earth do not have, they are no longer suitable for living on earth. Although their eyesight is very powerful, they have lost their hearing and can only communicate through touch. We don’t have the eyesight of an eagle or the hearing of a bat, but these functions are enough for us to live on earth. Don't be greedy, because enough is the law of nature.
